Our cryogenic RFID technology can be seamlessly integrated with LIMS systems, allowing for automatic data capture during the collection, processing, storage, and management of biological samples.
The goal of our technology is to automate the biobanking process, with workflows to include:
- Sample collection and processing – Unique RFID tags are attached to sample vial which links the physical sample to its digital counterpart in the sample management software. The position of each vial is automatically recorded using the RFID box reader.
- Sample freezing – Each box contains a unique RFID tag which can be used to electronically record its position in the freezer, reducing the need for manual data entry and improving workflow automation.
- Sample storage – The RFID tags are suitable for long term cryogenic storage (-196 °C). Our system simplifies the process of locating samples for retrieval and auditing, minimising search times and errors.
Sample data is collected at various stages starting from sample collection, processing, freezing and storage. This allows for full traceability of the biobanking process.
Other benefit of implementing our technology include:
- Improved efficiency
- Reduced human error
- Faster processing times
- Consistent results
- Cloud-based sample management (optional)
